Whooping Cranes #2

175.00

This months release of 150 prints features one of Canada's iconic endangered species the Whooping Crane.

Back in the 1940's there were only 21 Whooping cranes alive. Today there are roughly 500, some living in the wild and others in captivity.  Despite the huge comeback they are still considered one of the rarest birds in North America.

This is the second of an ongoing series where I shine the spotlight on some of North America's endangered species.

I had a lot of fun in the studio painting this one. It turned into a true labor of love glazing layer after layer of acrylic paint on top of the digitally collaged background.
